Who We Are

About Us

Uganda is one of the world’s richest countries in terms of biodiversity with over 5000 plant species,1000 bird species,350 mammal species and countless insect and reptile species. These figures are however threatened by the common and harmful trends of overexploitation of resources and pressure on natural habitat for agro systems in the Rwenzori Region and Uganda at large, we hereby decide unanimously to form an education and employment Centre called KIBALE COMMUNITY ECO-TOURISM

Vision

  • To be a company of excellence in providing quality and dynamic tour services to tourists
  • To promote and transform local tourism
  • To reduce poverty at family levels in the area
  • To organize Ugandans especially the youth, educate them and create massive employment as a strategy of alleviating poverty in Uganda.

Mission

To promote tourism and conserve Kibale national park and Uganda at large. Envisions the creation of enough employment opportunities to all Ugandans with special emphasis to the youth.

Arboretum

Rising up varieties of trees for research, education and ornamental purposes.

Herbarium

A collection of dried plants or parts of plants to display Kibale’s biodiversity to students, visitors, tourists and facilitate species identification

Education

Creation of an educational program on Kibale’s biodiversity of plants and animals aimed for students, researchers and tourists.

Organization

Organization of seminars to strengthen the awareness of local biodiversity uses among institutions, the general public on a national and international scale.

Promoting local tourism

To promote local tourism in the northern part of Kibale national park.

Education

To enable members, acquire skills in modern farming methods such as bee keeping, and production for the market.

Planting Trees

To enable the members plant trees in order to reduce global warming effects.

To create food security for the region

Youth Empowerment

To enable the youth voice out their concerns to the government both locally and centrally.

Members Gain

To enable the members, gain collective bargaining power in the market hence avoiding exploitation by the middle men
