Day 1: Transfer to Kibale national park
Pickup from Entebbe or Kampala. Travel to Kibaale national park, the primate capital of Africa. This park is a home of several primates including chimpanzees, monkeys etc. You will have lunch en-route. Get to the park in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Kibale Forest Camp (Budget) / Turaco Tree Tops Lodge (Midrange) / Crater Safari Lodge (Luxury)
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi swamp walk
After breakfast, our guide will transfer you to the park headquarters. After a short briefing, you will be assigned a ranger who will guide you on a walk to search for the chimpanzees. When you find the chimpanzees, you will have time with them at a distance. You have up to one hour to observe the apes and take pictures. During the session, you can ask questions about chimpanzee conservation in the tropical rain forest. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch. In the evening take a nature walk in the Bigodi Swamp. During the walk, you may see some of the birds that call Kibale Forest home. You may also see some monkeys and more.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a world biosphere reserve that is home to an amazing array of wildlife.
Day 4: Game drive and launch cruise
Early in the morning, you will set out for a game drive and meet up with the early risers.
The park has diverse eco system of grassy plains, rivers, craters lakes, swamps, forests
These are homes to a variety of wildlife. This game drive will award you with the view of animals like lions, buffaloes, antelopes, etc.
Have lunch at the lodge.
In the afternoon have a boat ride on kazinga channel. You will get to see hippos and have a moment of photography.
Later get back to the lodge for dinner and the night.
Day 5: Game drive and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
In the morning shall have a game drive in Ishasha sector where is will see climbing lions in the fig trees.
Have lunch at Ishasha sector and later proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Day 6: Gorilla trekking
Early morning after breakfast and briefing from the UWA officials, shall set out for the search of the endangered giantic primates the gorillas. En-route you shall get to see other primates like the chimpanzee, monkeys and birds. This activity could take 6-7 hours since the gorillas keep on moving up and down.
When you meet the, you will spend about an hour with them observing them for their life style. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Full day at Bwindi
This day you will spend it at buhoma village, visiting the Batwa people. You will get to learn more about them like how they live their lives, their foods and how they prepare them, their culture.
You shall endulge into their cultural dances and more.
In the afternoon set off for Kampala. Have lunch en-route. Shall have stopovers at the equator in kayabwe for water experiments and photography. Then go to a crafts village for souvenirs.
Then continue back to Kampala or the airport.
